"As I delved deeper into this wretched place, I finally found one of them Matriarch's Commanders. A giant hulking creature that stood almost like... 40 feet tall or somethin' with heavy metallic chitin coverin' her entire body. I recall that wretch lookin' at me with complete disgust, like my very existence offended her. Wondering how I even survived, and how my mind hasn't been entirely taken over when I turned into one of em', let alone wearing a "mockery" of their creator's shell. I guess I couldn't really give her an answer, but hey- like she's one to talk as at least my arms aren't tentacle like things filled with honey or... Whatever Love-Bots are made out of. She was like a Hydra; one arm would go SPLAT, and a bunch of little arms would take their place! Gross!
...I'm getting off topic, and hope this information, if it gets to you Doctor Love, will be found to be like... Valuable and all that other junk. It would seem the thing I fought was not only a bug of great importance, but a Matriarch herself. That this Matriarch kind of like... Modeled all of her commanders after herself and gave them small chunks of her personality to lead over her army and stuff. I laughed it off at first, saw her as a complete narcissist and I kinda got this knowledge from... Alright, let me put this bluntly, and don't get mad at me. I sorta ate or absorbed whatever memory chip she had in her noggin. I totally lost control, I was drawn to it, and there's these small gaps in my memory now. Some sort of bigger plan that the Matriarch got going on. I don't want to explain too much because for all I know, it could be a fluke... Good news is now I have a general idea where to go next. There's another commander only a few hundred miles from here. I think that old-world transit I recently learned about is still functional. I never was one for trains, not after you know... That one accident between me and Caroline that you're still mad about.
Haha, although I'm talking your ear off! After I absorbed whatever that memory thing was though, I feel like I unlocked new abilities and new knowledge about the bad guys I'm facing down here. Like how a some of these fellas are brand new models of Love-Bots and stuff that weren't in that ancient war. Or how the Matriarch's Commanders are not only all unique, equipped with the best of the best, but they can also create entirely new models of Love-Bots! They can even replicate and make new species, hybrids, or even make perfect controllable clones and copies of people! Isn't that... Whacky? Oh, I uh... Oh man, I think the dawning horror just sorta set in..." ~Hunter Star Spine
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone. It's been a very, very, very long time since I continued Hunter's journey in the Boars of War annnnnd it's also been a while since I did a Data Log. I think this one is a biiiiiit more on the self-explanatory side, and is still a continuation of Hunter's last log.
Until next time! Thanks for reading! I also decided to sort Hunter's journey into a neat little folder on my DA account, so if you ever want to check it out... You can do so there! It is also in chronological order as well. The more recent the "post" in the timeline? The farther it is along in the story.
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.

Fun Factoid: They were originally known as "broodmothers" or "mothers of the hive", but I didn't really like the name lmfao- so they're simply also known as Matriarchs

Holy Hecking Moly! This looks so freaking cool to see! I'm loving these designs so much, especially with how much of a hulking silhouette! They can make their presence known as something they you should not mess with, they all have so much potential to see and I'm so freaking hyped to seeing so much more of your wide variety of wonderfully lovable creatures, characters, lore, and especially art in the future! Keep doing great!
