"Well, Docta, you probably shoulda known that me and trains still don't mix very well. However, this time I swear on it- They booby trapped the rails, and my vessel went careening right out of the... pot and into the... fryer? You know, I want to sound clever, but at this moment I'm kinda running low on jokes. Hey, remember when I said about the Matriarch being able to clone people exactly? Yeah, well, it seems like Angel-Tech soldiers are no exception. At first, I thought the Angel-Tech scumbags who shot me and threw me down a garbage disposal were working under the Matriarch... Although, in all honesty if they were those fakers? They woulda ripped this suit right off me, only Angel-Tech is capable of such a blunder. Kinda creepy these imposters are exactly human... Like they're not secretly androids, goo creatures, they don't explode into eldritch horrors- no- Just... Genuine people as they got the same biology and everything. It also probably means a lot of them got off-world which is a reassuring thought.
Regardless, if I cut the head off the Hydra they won't have any commands, and our universe should be safe... In theory. Existential horror aside Doctor, I kinda met a new enemy and I wonder if the Matriarch is stepping up her battle phases. Surely now she sees me as a threat after taking down one of her high-ranking officers. I like to call these ones "Killapillas", but uh... They look more like a centipede than a Caterpillar. Heavily armored, fast, dangerous, and they really like to grapple and constrict the foes they're facing down and inflicting them with venom. I don't like em' very much... All those legs when they move make my skin crawl. At the very least I can see that you're getting these messages though. Don't worry about me though, I'll find my way out of this situation... Besides it looks like there's another officer around here. She's been taunting me through the intercoms of this abandoned place. I think this area used to be one of those... Cryogenic hospitals- never did like those facilities no matter what planet I was on. Way too big and those folk were basically stuck there for all eternity... Found a few caskets that went back a few centuries. I wonder what the universe was like back then before it was thrust into a "Dark Collapse"... Hm, I'm daydreaming again." -Hunter Star Spine

Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today I bring you another log on Hunter Star Spine's journey through the Boars of War and against the Matriarch. If you ever want to like... Look at the rest? It has a neat little folder! Also, unlike a lot of my data-logs? These ones truly are in chronological order! Until next time! Thanks for reading!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.
Other Disclaimer: You are allowed to share my artwork as long as I am credited, but do not upload it anywhere else, edit it and or mark it as your own if that wasn't common sense.
Fun Factoid: Decided that I would put the characters "behind" the border this time around.
Fun Factoid 2: Hunter capitalizing Caterpillars was purposeful; they are amateurish on how they write

Oh My Flipping Goodness! This is just absolutely sensational to see from you, I love it! I'm especially loving just how much there is some cosmic horror elements to the story, like a mix of Lovecraft and Starship Troopers all into one! These artpieces are just so fantastically adorable to see, which really makes a perfect contrast to the more unnerving stories that occompany them, and I'm stoked for more of your sensationally illustrated works in the future! Keep doing great!
