My dad got me these for xmas. I don't practice nearly enough, but I still love the guitar. The amp is nice for practicing, but it doesn't have a distortion channel, so I'm wishing I had a better one.
Ignore the aluminum curtain rod in the corner behind the guitar; I dunno why it's there -- well, it *would* make a nice beat-stick if I had to bash someone upside th' head.

Yeah, the Stratocaster is a popular design.
Note, this isn't a true Strat. It's a cheap beginner-brand guitar with the same body shape and a similar headstock shape. If dad had gotten me an actual Fender Strat (or even Squier, which is their less-than-top-of-the-line brand), I would die from brain overload.

The Xplorer is spiffy, sure, but I hear it's rather uncomfortable to play (same goes for the Flying-V). If the real thing is anything like the GH controller in that respect, then it certainly leaves something to be desired, comfort-wise.
I wish I had an acoustic, too, so I could practice without having to plug in my amp.

XD Yeah, I guess it would be uncomfortable to play, I wouldn't know since I've only held the les paul designs. It seems Dave Keuning of The Killers doesn't seem to mind the level of comfort very much.
