It is unfortunate that the Beetle came to mass production because of an evil man. But, if the most evil man in the universe invented a cure for cancer... would you refuse to use it on morals? Porche designed the beetle long before Hitler talked to him about mass production. He had a version back in the late 20's of it running (they were truely ugly!) Of course, Porche had his hands into a lot of ideas and even built a multi-wheeled electric truck. I support Porche and HIS little car. Judge the vehicle on its own basis... not who financed it.

Never said anything bad about the car and honestly I would take the cure from Hitler if he made it or even Stalin for that matter. Honestly I could care less. The actual Beetle, not a form, was mass produced under Hitler and the major design of what it was during hippie days was made when Hitler was in power. I stand by my statement and you can look up the VW Beetle history and they credit Hitler for the realization of the Beetle to be the People's Car, an affordable vehicle for Germany.
