Vertiti serves as a replacement Plague Monarch alongside Drabuzu. A sullen punk from southeast Kusina, Vertiti is a born Menace. She’s a bit like Niobe with her behavior, except she can be much more violent for someone like a parrot. Vertiti always thinks her mentality and what she thinks of the world is the “correct way” or is “on the right side of history”, leading to her getting into constant fights with other people who’d say otherwise. This is especially true with her role in Balakelami. As the Menace, she’s in charge of forcing Merging agenda down everyone’s throats, and will often get that out with her songs she’s written.

Parrots like her have been given power over sound, and Vertiti with her three beaks, has used that to the greatest extent possible. Able to hypnotize people with her voice, mimic sounds perfectly, or just outright using a sonic wave screech. This all seems normal for a higher-up in the obayifo cult, but Vertiti is more than just an obayifo, Vertiti is also part-impundulu, a bird that has the power over thunder and the weather. Add her sonokinetic to the mix of weather manipulation, and you have yourself a Plague Monarch that shouldn’t ever be messed with.
