The catalyst would be that he found her sword and picked it up, triggering the transformation into a biological version of her (if you haven't played Automata, A2 is essentially a robot that is indistinguishable from a human in most respects anyway). No mental changes except for Conner apparently picking up A2's tendency to curse at least once a sentence. [ ref ] "
