After many failed attempts across many years of on and off tinkering, I finally think I've cracked 3D modelling.
It finally clicked after working on something simpler like a Digimon, rather than one of my own characters. Ironically, somewhat, Veemon is a bit of a harder one to model just because he has a bit of a different look in 3D vs his cartoon. Some styles will be like that indeed. Plus there is inevitably a bit of Sodie-style in there as well, which I don't hate.

I don't know how to port things to SFM just yet, maybe someone can shed some light on it for me as I've not found a tutorial that my sleepy mind can wrap around yet. And any insights into the glitches and flaws on this model would be much appreciated. And there are indeed issues with this one, for sure. For starters, the V mark on his forehead is smaller in the release model, as there were issues with some of the facial poses stretching out the UV map the V was on, it's more the size of the pics with the smaller ones. I elected to leave the old ones in because of the lighting that I liked so much in them that was hard to replicate accurately.
I've done about the best I can with this one, but there's not a lot more I can do with how I've got it set up, besides some more expressions. This one may be better for 3D printing, but should be viable for animations too I think. Maybe I'll come in with an update publicly in time, but for now I'm wanting to move onto other projects. Perhaps I'll do another Veemon a few years down the line once I've picked up some new tricks and a better process.
For now, I'm weary of messing with this for days on end, and I am ready to share. It's not perfect, but pretty stout work for the first major breakthrough I made in learning 3D modelling. I hope you have a nice time playing with it, it was a fun, albeit long and arduous process to learn. But well worth it I think. X3
And to those who may have downloaded it via my Patreon previously, this one has an updated, moveable tongue now. :3
