Interestingly, only after retiring Dakota in favor of Indigo did I finally indulge in the one bit of lore I never explored - Dakota's wings are naturally bland and boring, so they often get their wings dyed and done up with designs! They generally last for a few weeks, as the wings regularly produces dust and sheds The intent was for Dakota to always have some sort of unique design - and I never actually had that drawn up. Well, that changes now! :P
