And here is Team CHARGE! (Always done in all caps and with the exclamation point. It is to be shouted.) This is my team for the Poké-Academy thingy that I can never figure out what precisely to call. In this case, "CHARGE!" is not only in reference to their tendency to dive into battle/pranking with a failure to think things through, but also a reference to the Aquabats' latest album, titled the same. It is an AWESOME album, and you should definitely get it if you see it. Comes with two free trading cards!
But I digress. Allow me to introduce the team:
Jukka Mudek: Jukka is a student with parents from some European country. He is pretty much the leader of the whole group (the shortest member, too) and a general crazy guy. Among other things, he's ridden wooden boards down stairs, convinced the Freshmen that there's a "No Shirt, No Pants, No Problem" Day, and of course started a food fight or two. Funny thing is, he doesn't break rules; he makes them. A lot of the things he's done has caused the academy to create new rules against something he did ever happening in the future.
Oh, and if you're any kind of game show viewer, you should recognize his shirt right away.
Gary Elmond: Greg's got some explosive issues. Just one, actually: when things get too much, his head literally explodes. How fortunate for him that it just explodes into two pieces, or he may have never lived to be one day old. He simply snaps the two pieces back together, and he's all set to go. Except, of course, for the splitting (hurr) headache he has for an hour or two afterward. But just what sets him off? Well, usually it's a bunch of little things, set off by one somewhat-bigger-than-the-others final catalyst, a "cinderblock that broke the camel's back" kind of thing.
Gary and Jukka were actually pen pals for a bit back in elementary school, when his teacher assigned Jukka to him on a whim. Rather basic correspondence, really, but still, when you're ten years old and writing letters to someone half a world away, the feeling is pretty awe-inspiring. So imagine the feeling when Gary found out his pen-pal from years back was at the academy!
Although he's easily one of the fastest students at the academy, Gary seems to end up just devoting his speed to his fast finger skills. This, coupled with his love for the games, makes him a great video game player. To date, he's the only academy student to attain a perfect score on the local "Tetris Grand Master 3" machine.
Will Busker: Will goes about his daily life without worry for others, having been born without a sense for self-esteem. Case in point: the first day of classes at the Academy, someone attempted to start a fight with him. The first swing hit him hard, but Will's return knocked his opponent straight out the door. Needless to say, the new rule among the students is "You do not fuck with Will." Aside from the physical bounceback, Will is actually very agreeable, with seemingly every other sentence from his mouth being, "So it would seem." He caves in quite easily to peer pressure, which would be a very bad thing were his friends the "wrong crowd" (druggies, chavs, etc.). How fortunate that he just fell in with some harmless maniacs.
Spiro "Spike" Cruson: Proper and polite, Spike is generally the one to get the rest of them out of any trouble. It's actually always been that way, it seems, from first grade where he acted as peer mediator on the playground. He was known for keeping the peace with a touch of his poisonous middle fingers, much to the hall monitors' annoyance. But, hey, he kept things civil. Until one day, when he began to abuse his power. Things got rather out of hand until he ended up poking himself. During his time down, almost the whole grade came to exact their revenge on him, and if it weren't for the teachers' swift intervention, he probably wouldn't be poking anyone else ever again. He was much more discretionary with his poking of his middle fingers after that.
Not to say he's not a good fighter, though; far from it, he's about the only member of the team who plans a fight through to the end, from his first shudder upon anticipating his foe's powerful move to the final fall to the floor by whoever gets dealt a finishing blow. In fact, at times, he seems to be the only glue holding together his team of madmen.
I'm pretty happy with how they all came out. Especially Gary; now the world knows what an anthropomorphic Electrode looks like. You may recognize that expression on him, too. I've seen it in a few places on the Internet, how 'bout you?
