MALAKAS Project - Moho Gigantos
If you wish to know about the MALAKAS Project, go to Timothy Soro's entry here for more info about the project.
Description:
Moho Gigantes had been living a somewhat isolated lifestyle, just residing in a cave, which was once used as a sulfur mine but it had been at best untouched since it was closed just two decade ago. However, the said cave was just a mile away from society, specifically the former sulfur town of Bolas Defuego. Because of that situation, it came out ironic enough that he would less often come to town to do them favors, just because they recognized him for his brute strength, well contributed to demolition of certain abandoned mining facilities, clearing of paths blocked by boulders, and construction of new houses. While he could've used his strength to hunt or harvest food for himself and to chop down wood for maintenance and warmth, the townspeople were at least kind enough to give him some of their own as their payment for his contributions.
One day however, the invading forces from the beavor town of Brisa Creek, marching on bound for Bolas Defuego, passed by Moho's cave and mocked him for his appearance. Unamused, he continued doing his business, i.e., chopping wood, which ticked several of the beavers off, as they wanted to be taken seriously. Their leader Turnip Bench, initially wanting to get the job done in the sulfur town as soon as possible, discouraged his beavers from provoking the rhino, calling it a waste of time, but it wasn't until one beaver pushed too far by vandalizing the homely cave, did Moho react with fierce and fury. Wielding a fatty log club, the rhino began fighting back against the beavers, with no avail, but witnessing the devastation amongst the trees with missed swings, Turnip swiftly knocked him out with a single karate chop. Though, his defeat came out with several bruises inflicted against several beavers, who then wanted to retaliate, but Turnip, fed up with their stubbornness, continuous punched their guts until they agreed to back out. As soon as the beavers headed for Bolas Defuego, Moho's unconscious body was found by equally large and muscular ferrets who brought him into an outpost built a hill looking over the sulfur town.
It took few hours for Moho to regain his consciousness, only to find himself inside the said outpost. The concerned rhino opted to leave and return home, but one temporary dweller, Lola Bunny stopped and explained the current situation to him. Unless the new Brisa Creek empire was put to an end, neither nearby cities nor towns (not even Bolas Defuego) were safe from its wrath, and so the MALAKAS Project needed volunteers like Moho, suitable or not, to partake in town defense, in return they were required to undertake few months of training until they either remained as Super Soldiers or gained the temporary Juggernaut ability. A dumb yet shy rhino spent himself an hour, thinking of what the Brisa Creek beavers could do to his new friends he made in Bolas Defuego, until he reluctantly agreed to join the outpost, if it meant protecting the defenseless town.
As Timothy Soro issued an order to station a dozen of Super Soldiers in Bolas Defuego, Moho (despite being a Recruit at the time) was allowed to join them, as long as he continued training according to his schedule. By the time he rose to become a Soldier, he assisted Super Soldiers in defense against the invading beaver forces for few weeks until the said beavers had retreated, for now. This had made Moho a town hero, celebrated by townsfolk from every corner of Bolas Defuego, but he shyly requested to be brought back home as he wanted to repair his cave since the beavers came to him first. Not only did they honor his request, but they also proactively aided him in repairing his home. And upon learning where exactly the first invading force came into Bolas Defuego, the outpost stationed two more Super Soldiers just nearby Moho's cave to monitor the pathway and to prevent further encroachment from the Brisa Creek forces.
