Anya Lukin Romaniev, a proud Soviet officer and outstanding marksman in the Red Army. Her loyalty to the State is rivaled by her love and commitment to Russia and it's people. While a loyal officer for the state, she personally believes that the country "could be run better than this", and that the famine could be an even greater threat than the invading German forces.
She lost her family to the Germans when they invaded Russia, thus adding fuel to that burning fire of hatred for the Reich, but even so, she took pity on some German soldiers, claiming that "some fight in love, or fear of their Fuhrer, although they all will meet the same fate eventually, it is only reasonable that those who fight in fear are given a quick, merciful death" She also believes such soldiers are ones who don't even want to fight, or fight for the safety of their families, knowing what their Fuhrer does to any who disobey.
