After a long, long shift at the local roadside eatery Beef-For-Real, Spencer mopped the tiled floor of the kitchen as last minute cleanup before closing. He yearned to get back home and soothe his aching muscles with a hot bath, having felt more strange and lethargic throughout his shift than usual. It was especially odd since he didn't feel like he had overexerted himself, but his shallow breathing and increasing heart rate seemed to say otherwise. He gripped the mop handle tighter as he felt a sudden chill run through him: he suspected that his boss, Mr. Harrison, has left the walk-in freezer open and was dropping the temperature in the kitchen. His body continued to shiver, soon to realize that it was not from any lack of heat.
