AM Tangerine Fizz

This was a little personal piece when I was dabbling with returning to HARPG earlier this year. HARPG for any of you who do not know is a art based roleplaying game, think DnD but you own a horse stable.
Unfortunately, Tangerine ended up being one of the last straws that pushed me away from HARPG entirely. I still want to continue my stable’s storylines because I think they could be fun, but I'll be doing it outside of the group now. I also want to make this post a bit informative for those unfamiliar with closed species groups, especially outside the furry community.

If you ever come across the group Loshenka and want to participate, consider this your warning.

I spent about $40 on the genetics of a horse in this group. Just to be clear, this wasn’t even a designed character—it was just genetic information. Why, you ask? Well, this is how many closed species function. You purchase a slot to make your own character, or you have to compete in a tough environment to acquire a slot for one of these breeds or species. This practice is very common in HARPG. These horses were inspired by the Rex rabbit breed, and since I used to own and show Rex rabbits competitively, I decided to buy one for sentimental reasons. It was the only reason I pursued this breed.

Now, you might be thinking, "Well Angell, that's not so bad. You chose to spend your money." And yes, it starts there—but the issue goes much deeper. I posted in the group once, as most of the activity is run through Discord. I made sure my Discord profile was completely PG—my username, Angellsview, was the only link between my furry art and this space. I mention this because I take care to keep my HARPG presence separate from my FA content. I don’t cross-post, and my HARPG content is kept family-friendly.

My post was simply asking to commission an artist to design the horse’s geno. When I returned a day later to check for replies, I found myself banned from the group with no access, and all I could see was a ticket opened against me.
The admins looked up my username and used my FA content against me. I have never drawn Loshenka horses in an NSFW way, nor have I broken their rules. I only posted once to commission a design. This is akin to YouTube banning someone because they posted something inappropriate on Twitter.

Not only did they ban me, but they also informed me that the horses I had bought within the group were now "dead," meaning they had lost all value within the community. I couldn't sell their slots, nor could I use them in HARPG shows anymore. On top of that, they demanded that I change the "unique traits" of the character, like its long tail—as if a long tail is even something that should be considered unique.

Here's their "ban process" directly from their website…



• Bans and suspensions are administered at the discretion of the Loshenka staff. In the event of a ban, the following actions will be taken:
Your Loshenkas' coat designs will remain your property but will no longer be affiliated with the breed. They must not be labeled or represented as Loshenkas.
• Any art on official Loshenka lineart must be removed from platforms such as Toyhouse and may no longer be used.
• Designs owned at the time of the ban will be removed from the breed through the Deceasing process. IDs and names will be preserved for lineage and tracking purposes.
• You will no longer be permitted to participate in the community in any capacity and may not submit art or interact with other members' Loshenkas.
All in-game currency, items, and pending deals (e.g. art, horses, slots) will be considered void.



Unfortunately for them, that’s not how things work. These characters are my property, not theirs. If you get into an accident with your car, the dealership doesn't ask you to scrape off their logo. Yet, the admins essentially labeled me as a zoophile because of my art, claimed I was a danger to the group, and even went to other groups to slander me with these baseless accusations.


To be clear, I’m over it. I don’t care about the opinions of some entitled artists. I will keep drawing the characters I paid for. If they want me to stop, they can buy them back at the value of the artwork that’s been created. The way this was handled was beyond immature and unprofessional—especially from a group notorious for concept theft and terrible admin conduct, something I found out too late. Adult artists shouldn't be persecuted and ousted from enjoying games and fun communities. Just because I create NSFW content doesn't mean I can't also enjoy SFW spaces. I’m just like any other artist—I enjoy drawing all kinds of things, both safe-for-work and otherwise.


I’m making this post to warn others: do not purchase one of these characters at full price. Frankly, I recommend not engaging in closed species groups at all. Don't let anyone think they have the right to "repossess" something you own just because you don't meet their absurd moral standards.
HARPG as a whole has become increasingly difficult to interact with over the years, so I think it’s best for me to move on for now. I refuse to bow to their witch hunt. My characters will keep the features they came with, and I will continue using them as I see fit. That said, if any of you are interested in Tangerine, I’d love to draw her in any ideas you come up with. ♥
