Nine thirty P.M., a strange time to be out, but it was a pretty special time for them, especially with weather like tonight's.

Walking in the city in the pouring rain seemed like a strange thing to do, but in reality, it was rather romantic. Warm rain, and a warm draggy to cuddle with as we walked together~

"You know..." Delga said, pausing for a second. "Sometimes... I think about what would have happened if I took my life that one night..."

I paused as well, wondering what brought this up.

"Sorry, not exactly the most fondest of memories, I know. But it makes me think. What would have happened if I was gone, and Leo had come? Do you think he would have just left empty-handed, taken by that slime monster... Or do you think..."

"He might have still taken me?" I continued the thought, getting a nod from the larger man. "Honestly, I'm not sure. I mean, I'm not exactly a buff guy like you; that seemed to be the kind of men that demon wanted to torment. I mean, I do think going back empty-handed would have been a bad idea, not to mention according to Leo, he knew about us way before he even came to this world."

It was rather strange to be talking about this kind of thing during our romantic rainy night walk, but I had to admit that Delga was kinda onto something. There's no way that they would have just accepted Delga's death.

"Honestly, can't say I like the thought... If you did die, I think I would be rather crushed. Taken that world in a state of utter despair doesn't sound like a good time. I'm not sure what I would have done..."

Again, not really a good thought.

Though for some reason, Delga seemed to have chuckled as a response.

"If you ask me, I think you'd get through it somehow."

I playfully rolled my eyes.

"What? I mean it~" He continued. "You're a really strong guy. Even if I gave into my weakness and you were kidnapped, I know that you would make it out. Or who knows, maybe luck would shine on you, and you would be rescued just like I was, and you'd fall in love with the man who rescued you, just like I did~"

I scratched the back of my head and chuckled sheepishly.

He really gives me too much credit sometime.

"Well, maybe, but I'd rather not think about it. The person I want to love is you, and regardless of what could have happened that night, it's what did happen that's all that matters to me." I said, leaning against him. "It is nice that you think I'm strong though. I honestly think I'm as normal as normal can be, but I try~"

That was the end of that thought, and the two of us continued walking, the rain and the lights of city lighting our way.

I chuckled a little.

"Makes sense you'd love this rain for a dragon who lost his fire~"

I stuck out my tongue and Delga messed with the fur on my head.

"Takes one to know one, Mr. Plant-Like fluffy boy~"

I like to imagine this takes place almost two years after they met. Their wacky (mis)adventures involving Delga's past and his old world are long since over, and they're just living their best lives.

Leo is almost done with his jail sentence and Jon Talbain is a firefighter saving lives and getting digits.
