I commissioned the lovely
MustLoveFrogs for this one. Thanks so much, Kae!

Here we see Executive Director Longfeather and Senior Researcher Nyctanassa discussing important corporate matters over a business dinner. Yep, just two businesswomen doing business things business-ly.
As time has passed since the lizardfolk's arrival in the Forest, Cellina and Viola have grown fond of each other's company. It's rare for Sherlock-types to find intellectual peers who don't drive them up a wall, but every now and then such folks can find an equal whose company they find agreeable, and whose habit of analysis they find complementary rather than grating. It has enabled for these two some very effective cooperation in overseeing research programs and charting new courses of investigation into Shift-Tec's areas of interest.
Could it be more? Viola almost dares not conceive of such a hope, least letting such thoughts live also risk their death. Cellina wears her professionalism like a suit of armor, and for as well as Viola has come to be able to read her, much of the crane remains a mystery to her. Something of a mythos has been built up around the enigmatic director among Shift-Tec's various employees. Ms. Afolabi seems to regard her as some kind of perfect, asexual avatar of the very concept of business, while the rest of the company enjoys a smattering of silly rumors. Viola has even heard researchers in the labs—people who should certainly know better—claim such things as that Cellina doesn't need to eat, that she's actually a collection of twin sisters who share the management of the company as a secret cabal, that she's immune to Shift-Tec products, or even that she's taken so many that she's become psychic.
It's all terribly silly, as far as Viola is concerned. The great Director Longfeather is just a person, after all. A very intelligent and considerate person, yes, and the kind of person with whom Viola could... Well... Perhaps it's best not to dwell on such thoughts.

Viola belongs to
Raptie. Cellina is, of course, mine.
