So I've been sitting on this for awhile, awaiting the final pics to come in, and today, they did. Amon has officially entered the suiting world :)
First off, I did NOT craft this. My talents in sewing are limited to garments. This beautiful suit was made by one
volkzwolf, a little-known but very talented suit maker, who went through a *lot* of trouble to very carefully craft this for its' wearer. . . who is also not me ;) Really, can't stress that enough. I simply get to sit back and enjoy petting him. Which I shall do a lot of at Anthrocon, I'd wager.
The wearer and owner of this suit prefers to stay anonymous for the moment. He'll be at Anthrocon in a few weeks, along with another suit from Red Lantern, which I'll post when I have pics of it.
As you can see, he's currently lacking adornments, but he'll be complete by Anthrocon. I'm sure you'll see him about, and he'll be in character, so I suspect. . . friendly :) Just don't try to 'purchase' any services. Pretty sure that's still illegal in Pittsburgh.
Oh, and for anyone out of the loop, this character is from my collaborative comic with
Alectorfencer, 'Red Lantern'. . . which you can read for free, here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4260941/

Okay...if you say so.
The head needs work. The eyes make it look very strange...sick looking as others have mentioned and im confused with the open lip on the bottom. Also from the upper left picture...the top of his forehead seems off...like its missing some mass to it. Plus the lower jaw is a bit thick for the head.

i think it would have turned out to look more like Amon if the craftsman had gone along more with your art style when crafting this since it is supposed to represent a character and one in a much loved comic at that. There are things i'd change on the facial structure but it otherwise looks well made :)
Humm I don't wish to sound critical here but I have to agree with others here on it looks nothing like Amon. :/ If the fur was a little different color this guy: http://d.facdn.net/art/gallenw/1302.....gwwlf_3916.jpg would be a great Amon! At the very least if it makes you and it's owner happy that's what maters most in the end.
not a fan of scribble's suits, honestly. The heads are enormous, and very very toony. But suits are very personal. . . everyone's gonna have a different opinion on them, and ultimately, none are really in the right. . . it's a matter of opinion. I happen to like glass eyes. . . a lotta people don't. *shrug* But I feel the same way about the toony eyes they do about the glass ones, so. . . eh.
It's not my suit, though. . . so even my opinion doesn't really matter :P

Your right it is all a mater of opinion. Please don't take what I said the wrong way also. I don't want to come across as being over critical and or that I know better. That's not at all the way I am. At the very least I hope the suit(s) help get the word out about the comic as that's what maters most. :)
Hmm... I do not want to offend anyone, but I think his eyes and the muzzle look off. It is always hard to tell from pictures, because you lack the three dimensionality of it though. I would have been really upset if a suit for me would have these kinds of features. But it is a matter of taste. If it was supposed to look scary it would have been okay though.
I'm gonna agree with some others here. Realistic suits can look gorgeous, in fact, i love pretty much all suit styles so this isnt a style thing, but that face is definitely off. :c
the eyes do make him look very washed out and pale, and they sit funny, and idk what happened to his muzzle but D:
that lower jaw is pretty...hick and terrible, and the shape of the mouth is scary 8c not to mention thats one heavy chin and underbite. and he does look kind of..sick and mangy.
i think he could have come out a lot better, especially for who the character is supposed to be, as everyone else said i never would have guessed it was Amon.
maybe a lot of us are being picky becuase we love the character so, but either way, its also up to the maker to try and capture that characters essence, especially when it is a character so well loved, when they make a suit and that..honestly didnt happen here. :c

Very nice suit, cool that it has different fur lengths. I never noticed that Amon has bi-colored eyes! I actually like the open mouth, does it have a moving jaw? Be sure to post pics of him all dressed up!
Some of the other character species like Isolde are fairly common for fursuits, be cool if you found a bunch of them and did a comic panel in fursuits!

Two things; 1. too fluffy and 2. CHEEKBONES, WHERE ARE THEY.
1. amon lives in what I suppose is a hot climate, and in the comic his fur is fairly short. I think it is mighty too long in some places and does not blend well enough with the shorter fur. I think it could have used more shaving just to at least even things out. Also the fur on the sides of his face are out of place, and give him a wolfy look.
2. the reason his face looks so strange IMO is the utter lack of cheekbones. In this picture http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5899685/ the angle does more justice to him, but still, his face is lacking some serious shape. If the cheek bones were more prominent, I'm sure the eyes would sit perfectly.
Not putting down the fursuit, just pointing things out.

This is one of the best looking fursuits I've ever seen. It's really beautiful. :) I don't know why people are freaking out about his eyes... I mean, from the VERY beginning of Red Lantern, it was established that Amon had different coloured eyes, and it's been portrayed throughout the graphic novel. Has everyone just completely missed that or something? I mean, seriously.
I think the fursuit passes for Amon pretty nicely. It's not PERFECT, and I never expected it to be, but I really, really like it. :) What this really comes down to is adapting a character from a page into another medium, and as such, this is an adaptation. As such, expecting an adaptation to be 100% completely faithful and accurate to the original source material is just fucking stu... Oh, wait...
Seriously, though, I think it passes nicely for Amon. I love it.

I think someone else mentioned this, but does Amon really have two different coloured eyes? I don't remember it in the comic, and I kinda went back and checked. In the first part, both his eyes are gold. In the second part, I couldn't really see the other eye that well. Always in shadow or facing away from the viewer.
yes, he has always had two different colored eyes, in every panel. Unfortunately, there is often gold, or red lighting, which means the highlights in the page can make the green appear slightly gold-tinted. which is fine, honestly. . . as it is supposed to be subtle. The green I use for them is yellowish
