So the 5 is supposed to be a fat guy with a hat, okay? the hat is an idea, and the belly is whatever is needed to complete that idea. That's what's so cool about the 1950s. If you were there (and suppose this 1950s is full of gay people and furries and whatever else is like you instead of whatever you think of the people in the history books) you'd have to learn the skills you'd need to do the things you wanna do with that idea. So, if you wanted a house but weren't sure how big or what design you learn building skills and start with a ranch style house (the 1-floor rectangle that sometimes has a garage or carport) and then build onto it. 1950s buildings are built so that anyone with those skills can do the work needed to keep it going, and people who understand then know where the "problem areas" are and keep track of them so they don't need to be demolished and can continue to serve the aesthetic purpose they serve. Everything is like it is for a reason, and everything added needs precedent. That's why so much looks a bit unfinished or not-to-your-taste, its inviting you to learn the language and build your own in response.


Its a state of mind you can have any time, but in THE 1950s absolutely EVERYTHING is made and operates on the same principal anyone can figure out if they learn the specifics. So you'd want to have a 1950s car for your 1950s house and wear 1950s clothes and go 1950s places to talk with 1950s people. Remember, These are all made for that idea so no matter what you might have in mind from seeing in the past, yours would be specifically about you and not what you may be used to others knowing you as. I mean to burst the bubble of the conservative past and instead note the elaborate aesthetics and specialized application utilization. If you initiate, its your idea you're learning the tools to achieve.

There's a lot we just can't have without going back. Likewise, there's so much more we can learn about communication, accessibility, relationships and the things we're passionate about by making the new one more Gay.


Really, its a story. That's all. But its the stories we tell that bring meaning to the things that happen in our lives. And i like this story.

Its good to come back too, as its familiar yet always something new
