You know, sometimes I hear a well-meaning but erroneous phrase sometimes, "You're such a good (artist, writer, etc) you are so talented!"

While nice, it seems to dismiss the idea that people actively have to pursue their chosen disciplines to become good at them.

In other words, you have to invest time and yourself into what it is that you want to do. Perhaps that's why I like the idea of a Smeargle transformation. It's the culmination of the concept where one's dedication begins to show physically. That even if you aren't necessarily a good artist, you are still enjoying the process and trying your best!

While there's always the risk that people will say that "Oh we'll of course you're good, you're literally a creature designed to be good at art", then that's alright. I know where I'm at. I know that I'm growing. My victories are my own and not something I'm doing for them.

So wet those paintbrushes, flex those writing fingers, brush the dust off of your imagination, and let's get creative everyone!

Little known fact, I actually really enjoy Smeargle as a Pokemon. It's such a creative design and conceptualization for a creature and I can't help but really like the idea of it! So turning into one would actually be pretty cool! Get to enjoy doing art while at the same time still having access to things like hands and a tail!

Also, little known fact. The color at the edges of my hair will actually change color with the paint on the tail! None of my other Pokemon forms can do that!
