A being of unshakable focus and calm, who's love of peace and kind demeanor offsets his extreme power and strategic mind, the archangel Dys serves as the representation of the cardinal virtue of Temperance.
Though his exact origins are unclear, it is thought that he was always an angelic being who only rose in power and authority by necessity. In the endless battle between good and evil, many of his fellows have fallen and he has needed to take their place. He never enjoyed having to battle, finding the cruel destruction of life, no matter how wicked to be a tragic disaster but he understands that it is sometimes unavoidable.
As a very humble being, he chose a simple short name that all can easily pronounce and to not be extravagant. His pacifism and humility have gifted him a very calm state of mind and he has never been known to show extreme emotions, seeing everything logically and with a clear mind.
Due to these traits, he has frequently been asked to serve as a war counselor and tactician, for he could analyze any situation without distraction. A role he loathes to have but one he takes seriously. When the Holy Queen began to establish a covenant between angelic beings, Dys was asked to once again serve as her war counselor and gifted the title of the embodiment of Temperance, serving as one of her direct subordinates. Their relationship, along with the other 3 archangels, is more like family and they frequently conduct business informally amongst each other.
In the endless war between the hellish empire of the Demon King Felnir, Dys most directly opposes the Demon Lord of Greed, Zy'eth, an enormous bloated serpent of extreme avarice who stands almost as the complete opposite to Dys. Although Dys is not naive enough to believe he will ever be able to convince Zy'eth to change for the better, it still pains him to have to fight a fellow serpent but such is the way of war. As much as he despises it, he has accepted his necessary role in it.
At last! The first of my new angelic group of characters, serving as direct opposition to my numerous demon lords.
