A lot happened in the years that followed Wolf and his gang going good. Good, bad, and everything in between. But all that hard work of proving himself to the world paid off, and best of all, after both realizing that they were better together than apart, Wolf finally got the girl…pregnant. Yeah, it was a slip up that both admitted responsibility for. Too excited to use protection and what not. But Diane? After serving two terms as state governor, finally used it as her excuse to call it quits and settle down. She’d still live a public life as MC of the Good Citizen Commitee, but she figured politics would be too stressful for a pregnancy.
What Wolf does know is that just an hour prior, said girl was giving him the Golden Dolphin. The very thing that had set him on the path away from his old lifestyle, was not given to him legally by the woman he met on that very same day. Maybe it was Diane who set him straight. Either way, it was a moment that led to an even bigger moment there on the stage. Everyone was cheering for Wolf until he told the audience of guests that he had one more thing to say. When he did, he turned to the pregnant fox standing next to him, bent a knee, and smiled as Diane’s jaw dropped. The second after he flipped the velvet box open to reveal the diamond ring, Diane pulled him up and squeezed the life out of Wolf just after he uttered the question, and whispered a very decisive “yes” into his ear. The crowd went even more nuts.
Back to the present, Wolf pulled up to the Hollywood Hills mountainside house which had van and a yellow sedan parked outside. Wolf pulled in next to it with his black mustang (a gift from Diane after they officially started dating) and got out, fluffing up his jacket and heading up to the front door. Diane as per safety protocol left the Museum with her escort convoy. Otherwise, they’ve have come here together. But that hardly mattered now. He was here, and he hoped he’d never leave again. He held a bouquet of warm colored flowers in one hand and used the other to knock three times at her door.
“Coming!” Diane sang from inside.
The door then opened, and Wolf immediately began to wag his tail at the sight of Diane leaving on the door, her emerald eyes smoldering him immediately. The black maxi dress she switched into fit her bloated figure much better than that old pink strapless dress she wore to the ceremony. Resting atop her baby bump was her left hand, which was already adorned with their engagement ring.
Wolf was staring in silent admiration too long, so Diane spoke up.
“Eyes up here, Wolfy. I don’t know whether you’re staring at the triplets or the ring. Perfect fit by the way.” She said with a wink.
Wolf chuckled, now visibly flustered.
“A little bit of both. I know I sound like a broken record but-“
Diane cut him off. “You’re huge! I can’t believe how fat I made you! Look at her ready to pop!” She waved her hands in exaggeration before she smirked again. “It’s okay Wolf, I know you like seeing me like this. You better enjoy it while it lasts. Now get in here before my water breaks. We have a wedding to plan….~” There was an oddly threatening tone to her last sentence before she leaning forward and pulled Wolf inside and shutting the door.

Very ironic that I post this just after the sequel trailer gets released. I actually wrote this around what we learned from it. Admittedly I wasn’t expecting a 5 year time gap, so I figured I’d expand the gap between the first movie and Diane ending up pregnant. Hope you enjoy this and I hope you’re as excited for Bad Guys 2 as I am!
