My favorite thing about Parade Balloon Day is of course when some inflatable interlopers do succeed in sneaking in and the announcer has to figure out what to say about these figures that are not in the official show rundown. That said let's give a big hand for the announcers here because they did some great thinking on their feet assigning me and cousin

The Recycling Raccoons are a public service announcement series in Michigan --- https://recyclingraccoons.org/ --- about, well, like it says. Don't worry, they're all cute. Don't recycle pizza boxes that have grease and cheese on them, it messes up the whole load.

Yes and no. Not from memory. From a photo I took of the last known sign of Tidy in far DownEast Maine. (and I can't find it through Google Maps this morning). It was a pitiful sight to see. An abandoned rusting semi-trailer on the side of US Route 1 with a faded TidyCoon. He's pointing to the text above him with a litter stick:
