Heh, ever since I first watched the anime show: The Rising of the Shield Hero, I even read the manga and have tried to find the light novels, but sadly I do not have access to the web novel, so my knowledge on the series is limited. But from the show, they introduced a certain type of monster that I find rather adorable.
The Balloon Monsters.
So simply and so weak but are dangerous in groups to those who don’t have good Defense Stat, and I like the non-organic monster species. So far, I’ve only had seen that there’s the common orange, and a few reds and yellows, but no knowledge of the other colors.
So, I decided to design my own version and provide what could be considered Monster Logbook Entries and Status Details of these monsters. My reason for this is the idea of taming monsters and help them grow stronger, and quite possibly discover some new hidden abilities or even some special evolutionary changes. And the idea that as they grow stronger, they would slowly grow larger like inflation, their normal size is 1-foo-tall, but the largest one can get would be like 3-foot-tall for a level 20 balloon with thicker rubbery skin.
So, here are the Logbook Entrees and Stats below:
Orange Balloon
The most common variant form of all balloon monsters, and are currently weakest, but their stats are most balanced. They grow stronger by consuming other monsters they had beaten in battle. They are known to hunt in packs, and view the Red Balloons as the alpha leader of the pack. Balloon monsters only eat live prey.
Stats: ATK-3, DEF-3, MATK-3, MDEF-3, AGI-3
EXP: 3-Points per Orange Balloon
Red Balloon
One of the common but stronger variants of balloon monsters. Being stronger than the common Orange Balloon, their ATK strength is strong enough to pierce fabric. They are known to hunt in packs, and the Red Balloons are the offensive force of the pack.
Stats: ATK-7, DEF-1, MATK-1, MDEF-1, AGI-1
EXP: 5-Points per Red Balloon
Yellow Balloon
It is faster than the Orange Balloon, and can bounce higher to snatch prey in the sky. They are known to hunt in packs, and the Yellow Balloons act as scouts that search for prey and alert the pack of its findings.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-1, MATK-1, MDEF-1, AGI-7
EXP: 5-Points per Yellow Balloon
Blue Balloon
It is the magic wielder of the back and is known to use stat-boosts to raise its packmates’ stats when out on a hunt, but are more fragile than an orange balloon, essentially a glass cannon.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-1, MATK-7, MDEF-1, AGI-1
EXP: 5-Points per Blue Balloon
Green Balloon
It is the defender of the pack and will act as the shield to protect its packmates. It can take heavier hits, and when grew large enough, a Green Balloon will keep its packmates safe inside itself.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-7, MATK-1, MDEF-1, AGI-1
EXP: 5-Points per Green Balloon
Pink Balloon
It is the intelligent member of the pack, and are incredibly rare among the Balloon Monsters. Its saliva has healing qualities in which can be used to help its fellow pack members. A Pink Balloon tends to nurture the young orange balloon monsters.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-1, MATK-1, MDEF-7, AGI-1
EXP: 5-Points per Pink Balloon
Gold Balloon
One of the four very rare Balloon Monsters, it is theorized that this Gold Balloon came about due to when an Orange Balloon consumed a solid gold piece. Its Defense and AGI are its best stats and tends to avoid combat. It is believed by slaying a Gold Balloon gives a small chance of gaining gold coins. But does gain x5 amount of EXP than any other balloon monster.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-5, MATK-1, MDEF-1, AGI-5
EXP: 25-Points per Gold Balloon
Purple Balloon
One of the four very rare Balloon Monsters, it is theorized that this Purple Balloon came about due to an Orange Balloon enduring a poisonous blight and adopted its power. When inhaling air, it can exhale a poisonous gas that could weaken enemy prey that breathes in their toxic fumes. This poison can affect other Balloon monsters so its risky chance to do.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-1, MATK-5, MDEF-1, AGI-5
EXP: 5-Points per Purple Balloon
Black Balloon
One of the four very rare Balloon Monsters, and is very well hidden and silent, tends to perform backstab attacks on prey they hunt. They are the silent hunters.
Stats: ATK: 5, DEF-1, MATK-1, MDEF-1, AGI-5
EXP: 5-Points per Black Balloon
White Balloon
One of the four very rare Balloon Monsters, and has healing capabilities akin to the Pink Balloon, but has access and can perform holy magic to aid its pack of balloon monsters. It is rumored that when it stares into your eyes with its singular eye, it can predict your next attack before you perform it and alert its pack of the coming danger.
Stats: ATK-1, DEF-1, MATK-1, MDEF-5, AGI-5
EXP: 5-Points per White Balloon
