And here I thought last month's prompt was worries and problems....and both started very similarly to each other.

It was going to be numbat, but I didn't know what to have the character doing, and that seems to be the theme going forward; the nyala was next, but only the males have those impressive horns, which sort of ruled it out (the one male character I drew for these monthly prompts got so little reception that I didn't bother)*; after bouncing back and forth between those two topics I thought about trying a ningaui but again, I couldn't think of what to put the character doing; then I chose napu (or the greater mouse deer) which looked very promising but ultimately didn't make the cut.

I eventually went with the nēnē (or Hawaiian goose last week, but the background of the scene I chose took forever to do and I was running out of time, so on Thursday I whipped up the beginnings of what eventually became this pic.

This pic curiously come out looking a lot like one I drew during my VCL days (there is a mirror but I can't seem to find the damned pic :-<

I do like this character and she will make another appearance.
