Very nice and very cute. Reminds me of a scene from the movie Contact if you've ever seen it. (good movie btw) I do feel however that you could have added a little more color to the skyline for a more sunset like feel to it.

TL;DR comments:
As always, brilliant execution. Clouds have odd shading because of their unpredictable structure, but you pull it off seamlessly. The dynamics of the light from that setting sun are brilliant, I love the effect. The characters are very nicely structured (Especially Nex's torso. Yummy!), the wings are really cool, and the intimacy is expressed clearly. It's quite heartwarming =3. You definitely chose some great colors to work with and the shading is excellent. The palm tree seems a bit out of place because it looks sort of plain compared to everything else in the picture, but it's of little consequence as it isn't the main focus anyway =P.

All in all, this is superb. I love it!

(Not important really, but seeing this makes me happy yet at the same time...I get a feeling of longing. I don't really want to explain here though) =x
