sketched the different stages of my sona
It somehow came to be that they can shapeshift a little (I think mostly because I couldn't decide) and so I made it canon that they transform a little depending on their mental state.
Most vulnerable, anxious and unstable has no horns and no dark eye markings. The more stable and confident they get, the more the horns grow.
The pure dragon form at the bottom though is different and rare. Only happens in very specific situations

And it has always been interesting, following how you shape your own self-image. I've seen many who do this with their sonas, and always wondered if I'd end up doing so.. and I guess I did change a little through the years, but there were only 2 main refinements I can remember (and I don't refer to my sona as a separate entity so that makes me different than most I suppose).
You look rather precious in all forms, and I'd be happy to give them all a big hug

Feral one isn't canon, though the pure dragon form kinda is feral (walks on 4 legs mostly and acts more animalistic). I just drew it for fun xD
Yeah some people change their sona every few months, some never really. Depends how clear your visions of yourself and what you want are and how much you yourself change over time.
For me it's the fast changes in mind, my decision issues and uncertainty what I really am and want that imfluence the changes of my sona.
I don't refer to it as a seperate entity anymore too. I see this anthro dragon-dinosaur thing as myself than anything else, even more myself as my RL self. My previous more raptor-like sonas were just normal fursonas though that felt a little less "me" for reasons.
