Finished up a new profile image using real sketches for the line art and then Krita for the coloring. Overall I think this went much better than the previous attempt at converting sketch to digital, mainly owing to utilizing an actual scanner to get even illumination and slightly better understanding of some tools in Krita. Still unsure if I plan to do future pieces as fully traditional, hybrid, or fully digital. Definitely some plus and minuses to each. At the very least, I'll probably go correct the last hybrid piece I made with some of these lessons learned.

Fun fact of the day:
Soltoros's mask is made of hardened slime, like the rest of the armor, so it's easily replaceable. But he has a fairly strange connection to it and will refuse to be seen in his normal form if it's damaged or missing. And for your own sake, you definitely should not try to forcibly remove it from him.
