Thanks to some help from my good friend
bahumot I was able to get some funds for this beautiful bastard that I've been eyeing for years now, Masterpiece MP-24 Star Saber, and now that I have him in hand I gotta say he lives up to the hype. He's massive, he's bulky, he's absolutely the best kind of B R I C K of a robot. Though he did come with a slight problem (mainly, the loose joints on his left arm which seem to be commonplace with this figure), it was an easily fixed issue and right next to SOC GaoFighGar he will be the crown jewel of my collection.

Nice! Also, fuck you for finding studio series 86 Prime. LoL
I don't have the masterpiece (stay away from them in general due to the craziness of their transformations and cost), but I did help fund the Victory Saber has lab.
That's honestly what I thought I was looking at before reading the description. He along with his nemesis Deathsaurus are still fucking fantastic, though it makes me wonder too how the haslab compares to the masterpiece.
Now Hasbro needs to release a Victory Leo to go with the MP Saber.

Lol it's not the SS86 Optimus, it's the MP-44 knockoff (no trailer and no sound chip, with backpack modified to compensate for that particular exclusion). I *might* get the SS86 version when it shows up, BBTS keeps pushing the date back and I don't trust them with preorders anymore.
I have transformed Optimus there only *once* and it took me almost an hour to get it right. Never again lol
Star Saber on the other hand has a fairly simple transformation but it's not without it's issues. Saber's legs (which form Star Saber's chest) have rather tricky knee ratchet joints that need to click in a particular way to stay pressed against Saber's own chest, and I got lucky after trying to get it right several times. If it doesn't click into place the right way, the legs just hang slightly at an angle, leaving a small but noticeable gap between them and Saber's chest.
Alas, Takara has ended the Masterpiece line (which means goodbye to all the never-released or made Beast Wars MP figures, among other things) and have switched to MP:G which focuses on combining gimmick, so there's still hope we might get Victory Leo. Especially since MP Star Saber already has ports on his feet that are meant for combining with the hypothetical MP Victory Leo figure.
