The Imperius Octopus is a massive cephalopod that inhabits the inner edges of the Crown of the Northern Abyss, off the eastern coast of Elysium. The inner parts of its mantle contain bio-luminescent cells that can rapidly change color. With its glowing and color-changing mantle, the octopus can produce hypnotic patterns to entice potential prey into coming closer and stun predators such as the Harrowfin.

Due to its inhospitable habitat and the risk of approaching it, the Imperius Octopus is a poorly understood creature. It is a formidable and dangerous predator with high intelligence. That is enough knowledge for the few adventurers who dare to venture into the Northern Abyss.
