You know: Today, I saw an illustration of some canines roaming around in a winter landscape. It looked really, really good. But the longer I stared at it, the more disappointed I got. Because even though, it was an energetic illustration and – like I said – it looked amazing, the little details were missing. No paw prints in the snow. No snow-cowered fur. Not even the paws pads were impacted by the snow. Again: I was so disappointed in the end. But now, I found your artwork. And it makes me really happy to see it.

Here we have a real presence of the characters. Snow on the feathers, on the fur and the whole environment. The eyes and the rowan berries are shining with the essence of life, despite surrounded by the harsh, freezing nature. The pose of the bird to the very left looks so natural, it's incredible to see. The mixture of white, red and blue colors works surprisingly well, and the gently greyed background is well chosen. Nothing in your craft feels misplaced or too intrusive. I don't know exactly what it is, but the facial expression of the mythical canine has something familiar. I can't really put my finger on it, but I love it. The cautious distance of the canine works amazing with the birds curiosity. Again: It makes me really happy to see your work. Amazing job!
