Due to his interface being damaged by a Gazimon he will only digivolve in to this form.

He despises this form as he struggles to hold his urge to consume digicores at bay but mainly as he injured his tamer while in this form, something he is struggling to forgive himself for.

Digivolving in to this form is usually done in dire situations and with his tamer near by to help him stay sane.
