(Day 9 now, and we're actually in a familiar AU that has once been visited before. The AU of Hisuian Homies, a series made by
AnonymousKat and based on the story of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This piece takes place after not just the 4th Noble Showdown, but Ben's exclusive nightmarish encounter with Darkrai from a request he took. An encounter that Dogg managed to save him from without his knowledge. The artist has uploaded pieces on his account if you want to check them out on his page. Also, there will be spoilers for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. So caution if you don't want to be spoiled.)

Exclusive Darkrai Encounter (Mature Warning): https://www.furaffinity.net/view/57986452/
After the fiasco I had gotten into with Darkrai, and finding out that Dogg had been the one who saved me. I actually wished I could have the chance to thank him, even if Kat and I were a little weary for what he may try. For now, we were still helping around in Jubilife Village to help it and other aspects prosper bit by bit.
At least until we were told to explore one last new area of the Hisui Region. The Albaster Icelands. It was our usual orders of course. Explore the area to help fill in the Pokédex, and investigate for anything suspicious. Naturally by this point, we knew what we were likely going to get ourselves into. But we agreed.
After ariving in the Albaster Icelands, we wasted no time doing our usual business of recording notes about the Pokémon we encountered, caught and even evolved with our main Pokémon themselves helping and battling now and then. But before long... We found out who the Noble Pokémon we'd be helping this time would be when we arrived at Avalugg's Legacy.
A gigantic, Hisuian Avalugg! And he had gone into a frenzy! But we soon met the Warden watching over the Noble Pokémon. Gaeric of the Pearl Clan. But when we pleaded to help calm the Avalugg from the frenzy, he was reluctant since the Noble Pokémon wasn't harming anyone. Believing Avalugg wouldn't harm anyone else... Yet he agreed to relent and go along with our will if we could prove our strength in battle. Which we easily won due to his specialty in Ice type Pokémon, which Kat's Hisuian Typhlosion, Whisper had the type advantage over.
After winning, Gaeric relented and told us Lord Avalugg's favourite food. Eternal Ice. But we had a problem... We couldn't reach it at all, no matter what we tried! But a miracle came via Sabi of the Diamond Clan, and Warden of a special Hisuian Braivary. Of course, we had to chase her across the icelands, until she directed us to Snowpoint Temple. To which Kat and I explored while solving its puzzles.
After solving the puzzles, she challenged us to a battle to determine if we were strong enough to command Braviary and his flying prowess. A battle which by our teamwork, we managed to win. Deeming us worthy, before we soon challenged the Battle Cry Pokémon. It was tough, but we managed to do it. Earning us access to Braviary's flight, which was the key to obtaining the Eternal Ice!
As we were flying back to Avalugg's Legacy however... Kat soon spotted a familiar figure we never thought we'd see again at the Icepeak Arena... It was Dogg!
And as we made the quick detour, he confronted the Rowlet thief and was ready to battle him. But before either of them could call out their Pokémon, I quickly interveined and told Kat I needed to do something first. That something turned out to be thanking Dogg for saving me when I was overwhelmed by Darkrai. Pulling out the orange feather I kept from that faithful day and showing them both, which both surprised Kat and made Dogg bashful. As it was likely he doesn't get gratitude often. In fact, I proposed that maybe it'd be better if we enlist Dogg's help with calming Lord Avalugg down from his frenzy. As three people were better than two. And ultimately, a truce was called upon.
One thing we did first was get our starters out. And while Dogg saw Whisper and Samurott in their Hisuian Regional Variations, Kat and I soon saw the Pokémon he stole as a Rowlet was now a Hisuian Decidueye. And surprisingly, Dogg was more than willing to give us notes on his starter. This was more than helpful for developing Hisui's first Pokédex, plus we found out his Decidueye was a Grass/Fighting type.
All 3 of us went back to Avalugg's Legacy to get the Eternal Ice. Then we managed to create the Snow Balms, which would help calm Avalugg from his frenzy. Then... We returned back to the Icepeak Arena in the Albaster Icelands, before becoming confronted by the gigantic frenzied Noble Pokémon! And he looked more gigantic in person! Almost like facing off against a Dynamxed Pokémon!!
While I filled in Dogg about the usual tactic of dodging attacks from the Noble Pokémon, and countering when we had a chance... Kat and Dogg had what turned out to be a better idea, especially to dodge the flurry of attacks that were happening on the ground. In a nutshell, Kat called for Hisuian Braviary to fly us 3 trainers in the air to throw the Snow Balms, while our Pokémon would be doing the fighting itself.
It seemed a little strange, but it actually did work in the long run! Plus we got to see Whisper using Infernal Parade, Samurott using Ceaseless Edge, and even Decidueye using Triple Arrow as well! What a combo! In fact, their attacks and dodging, combined with our Snow Balm pelting helped calm Lord Avalugg down! And scored us another Plate to go with the ones we obtained as well! Despite Dogg being quite vague and myserious... He's a pretty good guy. Enough to earn our trust at least.
During our showdown however... We noticed a star shapped rift in the sky. But it was different. Not like the Space-time distortions we've encountered and survived. So it was ultimately harmless, at least for us.
Even though we managed to quell all of the Noble Pokémon in the end. I have this sinking feeling our troubles might end up getting worse... I hope I'm wrong though.
