The heat was not that bad, but not having a shirt was rather cold. There was a vest with it, but it is not in any picture I have.

I broke into hysterics just now upon finding this picture because of the "small world" scenario. I've been to DragonCon and seen you there in this costume the past two years. As if you the username didn't give it away, I'm a satyr fanatic. Thus my lid flipped in 2005 when I caught sight of you. You let me take a picture that I promptly showed to all of my friends when I got home so they could see the best satyr costume I'd ever come across.

So, now I'm laughing at stumbling upon you by accident and finding it way too cool.

And you just reminded me I need to get my pre-reg for D*C in!

Oh wow, I didn't think anyone liked the costume at the time, but now that I am getting feedback i am really glad I made it. Thank you for the compliment.

You are most welcome! It really is a great costume. Amusingly, the first time I caught sight of you in it, I was in the Hyatt gift shop buying batteries for my camera and you walked past heading towards the elevators down that winding hallway. I wanted to throttle the cashier for taking so long. By the time I got out of there and sprinted down the hallway, I imagine you'd gotten on the elevator. I was really annoyed and upset as I do adore satyrs and hadn't expected to see such a great costume. It was random chance I was heading out of the gaming room as you walked in, so I was able to ask if I could get a picture.

And if it's any help, all of the friends I showed to picture too were blown away at how great it looked. And at least one asked why I hadn't smuggled you home in my luggage. *chuckles* I think she wanted to keep you.

But yes...great work and maybe I'll see you around DragonCon this year if you're attending.

well I will be at dragon*con this year. I will be helping run the video rooms part of the days. I will be wearing the new suit I am making there and maybe the sayter one day. I will keep an eye out for ya.

VERY COOL! I made a Satyr costume to wear for Halloween, Digigrade legs and everything..it was really hot, but that was probably mostly the foam I used keeping the heat in. Anyway, love the satyr suit, awesome! ^__^

floral foam, they were so heavy i had to use welbond to keep them on. I later remade them using some Halloween horns.

fun. i'm currently experimenting with making smaller horns from polymer clay ans seeing what i can get. hopefully I can have a bunch to sell come Halloween
