Why do you worry about any snake when it is deeply S-Curved? This is why. Those S-Curves are just length of body ready to lash out forward, or actually in just about any direction. If I had an easy way to do motion blur in this, I would; the snake would be moving way faster than one might imagine possible when striking from that posture. He would be aimed at that front shoulder to get the hurt juice in before anything else; in fact, if he got a good bite, he may well retreat back for several seconds to let it start to take effect before closing back in.
