Yes. Yes, it is sad and scary, for the husk. As for personality disorders, well... They have no memory of their past life. I suppose modern science would lable a husked person as braindead or traumatized, since science doesn't believe in souls, let alone the removal of one.
Heh, don't worry, I don't think you're trollin'. It is quite the confusing topic. ^^'

well, i meant for the soul eater. having the soul become part of their own soul. does that cause some sort of personality disorder, or does the persons personality just kind of dissolve away completely? and basically the person might as well just be dead? they cant move or think or do anything on their own, right? theyre just a body with nothing else. thats so sad... ; n; does the soul eater even care that theyre killing someone? in this case im assuming it was voluntary but is it always so? what is the lure for this? i mean, what makes one WANT to be brain dead?
im so sorry i have so many questions. ; n; im just really interested.

Hmm. Yeah, the consumer might wind up a bit different based on another person's soul, but overall, they remain the same, so there's no disorders there. The person's personality doesn't dissolve away, it's an intricate part of the soul. It would only dissolves away if you're one of THOSE people who thinks they can digest souls with the stomach, resulting in a glowing waste... Pretty preposterous, in my opinion. No, they aren't dead. You could think of them as a new born now. They know nothing, and really must be retrained the basics. How to walk, talk, eat... Effectively, they could grow a new soul, if they succeed well enough. It just wouldn't be as good as the original. To me, taking the soul doesn't kill someone. Yes, the vixen was willing, and no, it isn't always so. Someone on Fidchell's version of the upload was saying that they thought they'd never see the day that willing soul vore was attempted, it's that rare. I suppose the lure would just be a step up from consentual fatal vore, wherein someone is willing to sacrifice their body to their love, permanantly, to be with them forever. In willing soul vore, I'd think the lure would be the same, except when taking the soul, they really are with you forever. Sometimes, people just think the moment is worth the following agony. It's not that she'd want to be braindead, it's a feeling deeper than that that she wants to feel, and give.
Hey, interest is perfectly fine. I'm having fun thinking these answes out. :3

so theyre technically not braindead then? just, a new person? but it takes years to teach a child all of what they know. i just graduated high school. i wouldnt want to go through everything all over again. no memories of anything. just new to everything. having to have everyone teach you what you spent eighteen years of your life knowing. creating new memories. someone could die in that time span and not even have the time to grow a new soul. thats so sad. ; n; AND SOMETIMES ITS NOT WILLING? MOST OF THE TIME ITS NOT WILLING? TT oTT so scary and sad. even more so than it would be willingly. ; o; but its kind of romantic thinking about giving your soul to someone to be with them forever. c: but... you wouldnt be able to enjoy their company so what would the point be? there would be no point in you being with them forever because you wouldnt even know it. they would but you wouldnt. i suppose making your lover happy is more important than yourself though, so that kind of makes sense. like i said, its kind of cute. c: though i dont even think i would be able to do that for someone i love. xD i like my soul intact, and i dont want to spend another fourteen years in school. at the age of eighteen having to head back to kindergarten. xD "nap time everybo-" "FUCK YES NAP TIME" xD
thanks for answering all my stupid vore-ignorant questions. xD; <3 im pretty ignorant to a lot of things to be honest. not because i want to be, but because i just never was able to ask questions. but i have been in this situation~ which is awesome~ so thanks again~ c:

Well... technically, you would know that you're with them. Your soul is what makes you, you. Having your soul removed is easier on the tounge than saying Having yourself removed. You really would be with the eater forever. It's the body that's really paying the price. So, you wouldn't spend another fourteen years in school - Your body with it's new, growing soul would. Having a new soul just makes your body an entirely new person. Other than that, yeah, looks like you get it. Death during soul growth is actually pretty common, sadly enough...
You're welcome, it's been a pleasure answering these questions. :3

No, hey, no, the waste doesn't glow, the soul does. The waste is just blue, viscous and a possible substitute for gelatin/carrageenan for thickening additives.
As you describe it, soul vore sounds relatively gentle. In comparison to what I've seen here and there. Less grave, less fatal, less dark. Something that a person could theoretically consent to (possibly by virtue of a martyr complex or something, I dunno), in stark contrast to the ultimate evil it tends to be.

Souls aren't physical, why they'd be converted to such a form after getting eaten doesn't make much sence to me.
Yeah, well, it all depends on the consent. What we've been talking about was more consentual soul vore. The more common, unwilling soul vore tends to fit those words well. Fatal, grave, dark, just plain evil. In most cases, the predator would just leave the soulless husk who, unable to fend for themselves at all, usually wind up dead anyways, via outside means or an inability to withstand what happened.
There's one key item that people tend to not realise when doing traditional soul vore: There's a spirit left over, still. Spirits and souls are two different things. Spirits cannot be captured or touched in any way, and are what keeps everything alive. The breath of life, if you will. The soul is the personality gained from living life, all of the knowledge, physical and mental attributes, and ways of thinking. This soul, being created in life rather than before, is thus capturable by those soul predators that know how to. The body remains alive, unless the predator killed the body before, during, or after taking the soul, due to the left over spirit. Everything they've done is instantly wiped from the body's knowing, how to move, how to think, how to act. It pretty much is still murdering someone. Though the body still remains, the personality that was inside it is now gone from the world.

Apparently, after you extract it, the soul gains mass. Or it gets turned into (semi)solid matter at some point. I really don't know.
As far as the difference between spirits and souls, I'm going to quote The Big Lebowski on this one.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Bleh. I completely missed this the other day, due to a hectic weekend.
This came out incredible. Fidchellvore's lines and your colors, all work so perfectly together. A beautiful collaboration. <3
I love the way her soul is simply pulled right from her body flesh, rather than through the mouth as is usually scene.
The front view of your gaping maw as it sucks up the soul is marvelous, beautifully capturing that sense of oblivion beyond, and that final slurp and gulp is simply delightful.
Man, I'm feeling so envious of her right now.
Once again, a marvelous collaboration between the two of you.

Heheh, thanks! Yeah, I'm really impressed with how well my style of coloring suits her style of drawing. I think we should collab more, but.. I'm not one to pry. x3
Yeah, I really love how FidchellVore drew every panel of this comic! The semi-freedom I was able to employ with the soul effect was insanely fun to toy with, especially considering the lovely lineart I was working with. :3
Thanks for the comment.
