We adopted a another cat from the street so that she would not die in our cold winter.

All our cats are recuees and we currently have five. Usually we fin them, neater them and put for adoption, but those in worst health are the ones we usually bond with because we end up spending weeks geting them back on their feed, not wanting to part ways when they get ready for adotion. Our oldest one's nickname is "Tucha" lol
I can only imagine. You got a way harder winter over there than we here in germany. But it is good that you don`t wait and straight go for action!
