This is what the rough linework looks like before I clean things up, and send them to Photoshop. In this case, the foreground character (Skippy, wearing his otter jammies) has already been cleaned up, and is ready to paint. The background characters are partially cleaned up. I'm going to have to use some tricks to get our hero to pop from such a busy background.
If anyone is interested in seeing al the steps, I would be glad to post a light tutorial.
Poor Skippy- It looks as if the other cubs don't approve of his pajama party attire.

Its a Kigurumi style pajama suit. He's dressed up as an otter. I had originally made the eyes from buttons, and buttoned up the front as would be typical for a kigurumi, but we wanted something that looked a bit less clunky than the usual. Kigurumi are aways a bit "off" looking to me. They always put eyes on the hood, and usually a nose, too. I would prefer IRL to find them that the hood just has the ears on it- no face.
But in THIS case, I think it actually looks GOOD. I would love to have a pair like this for myself!
