Did you drop their average life span? I could have sworn their average life span wad closer to like 50-60 years, not 20-30.

Since I'm super biased in favor of rodents, it's great to finally learn more about these guys! And damn, now that I know more, I have to feel kinda bad for them. Life span is only long or short when compared to other species. A species with a short lifespan wouldn't think its lifespan is short, it would feel normal to them. Intelligent species with short lifespans focusing on a single "life's work" that begins as an adolescent and culminates late in life is a really cool idea!

Completely agree, also should be taken in account the "maturity at 3 years" and the quick reflexes likely conditioning how fully intense is their adulthood lifetime.
