No comic page today, but here's a little sketch I made not long ago :)
I made this sketch right before going to bed. I was in a very melancholic mood, and I felt I should draw it out :)

There is nothing wrong with feeling sad from time to time. There will always be moments where the joys of the world will dwindle, leaving only the ache of things unfulfilled. Lost love, lost moments, regrets of the past. It is not healthy to let it harm you, to let it bring you to a state of tears and clutching for things to sooth you. Instead, it is alright to dwell on it, only to learn from it and remind you of how it shaped you, brought you to the points of joy you may not have had if not for the obstacles you had to overcome, or fail to do so. That is what I see when I look at this, the shadows of sadness, with the knowledge that everything is going to be alright. If you were to zoom out of this picture, I would suspect a sunny field of flowers just beyond, just a step away.
if i may offer, if you would like to hear... there is some phenomenon that, intrusive thoughts (and for me really destructive self-hurting thoughts) occur much more as the day becomes night, and (curiously for me) they are absent in the morning. with professional and friends' help, i understood that the thoughts can be avoided by sleeping earlier, or doing the things i need to in the morning before they come. in case thoughts interfere with you, maybe you can find a way around them by knowing this. (i recently learned helping at church stops the bad thoughts cold, which is a really cool lifesaving treatment for me)
