(Not a very big part of the story today, but it shows how the opponents are willing to use whatever they can to win.)
The coyote was about to pull Jake down to the mats and crush him with his weight, but the cat broke free of his grip and fell to the ground. Tech stood over him and smirked.
‘So you're still capable of something,’ he growled, looking proudly at his mate. Jake, breathing heavily, rose to his feet and glared at his opponent.
‘I'm not giving up that easy, doggie,’ he meowed and lunged at Tech. Coyote, who was ready, took a step to the side, but the cat wasn't the type to give in, and Tech was surprised to find Jake wrapped his arms around him and threw him to the mat. Tech tried to get up, but the Turbo Cat co-pilot deftly grabbed his legs, lifted them into the air, then locked them in place with his left hand, while his right arm wrapped around Tech's torso, pressing down on his chest, and positioned him next to his left arm.
‘What on earth... How the hell does he know about the side suplex?’ ran through the coyote's mind as he gritted his teeth and struggled against the cat.
‘What, you didn't expect me to know the Sidewalk Slam?’ chuckled Jake. ‘I learnt that move by watching Slam bouts.’
‘Damn Tasmanian devil... I told him his lessons were too effective...’ thought the coyote grumpily to himself. ‘Well nothing, kitty, I'm not giving up yet... Soon you'll be lying on this mat while I stand on your chest.’
