Lotte (full name: Charlotte Petra Dijkstra) is the youngest child of the Dijkstra family, born in 2007. She looks up to her two older brothers, Harm and Roel. Lotte always enjoyed the routine that living on a farm offers, even though it was hard work sometimes. Unlike her brothers, Lotte isn't much about book smarts; she finds it hard to concentrate on reading, especially because she has dyslexia. Despite that, she is a quick learner, and even as a kid she was capable of doing many different errands around the farm.

She looks happy most of the time, but there's one deep desire she has, one that seems impossible to fulfil: she wants to become a taur, to become more like the cows their family farm is herding and which she loves. Most of her friends at her school are taurs themselves, and there's one in particular she has a crush on: Trijtje Dravers (full name: Catherine Amalia Dravers), the girl next door, and the only child of the Dravers family. Trijtje is a particularly small pony-taur, shorter than most bipeds even. The unfortunate combination of being short and her taur physique gives her problems sometimes, but a loving family and girlfriend help her through it. If their love remains as it is, Lotte is planning to move in with her, hoping that together they can take over the farm from Lotte's parents one day when they get old.

When Harm came back from his travels around the world and revealed he had magic capabilities, Lotte was very excited, hoping he could make her wish come true. But Harm was still a beginner, and wasn't capable of it yet. In the years that follow, Harm had studied more transformation magic, and managed to transform Lotte into a taur from time to time, even if it lasted for one day each time. However, Harm also made some connections with a prominent medical entrepreneur, Dr. Sabrina Dalton of DMT. She could undergo a permanent transformation at the DMT facilities, however, she came to an agreement with her parents to wait with that until she's 18. If by that time she still has a desire to become a taur full-time, they will support her.
