The New Hope of the Universe ( Personal - Fan Art )
This is a drawing I made of my characters Derek and Archibald, who are characterized as Koji Kabuto and Duke Fleed (Characters from the Japanese manga and animation sagas "Mazinger Z" and "UFO Robot Grendizer", rather than from the current "Grendizer U" series).
Where after Mazinger Z's defeat at the hands of the Vega empire, it is rebuilt into a new version called "Mazinger X", which is much more powerful and stronger than its predecessor model. On the other hand, Grendizer loses control of itself because its pilot begins to suffer a strong emotional crisis due to his desire for revenge, so Mazinger X confronts him to stop him and prevent him from destroying the Earth, the planet he swore to protect.
In truth, I was very surprised by this new series inspired by the iconic robots of sensei Go Nagai. I really liked how they extended Duke Fleed's story and gave him a more human background. As for Fleed's guardian, Grendizer, he looks quite imposing and powerful. On the other hand, Mazinger Z was a very clever addition as a battle partner for Grendizer (Plus his new Mazinger X look gives a more Badass touch to the classic mecha of all time). Without a doubt, Grendizer U is a great series that reinvents classic characters in a modern format evoking nostalgia.
I wanted to draw my favorite childhood robot again, and this series was the fuel needed to make this drawing, and seeing that my characters are the protagonists makes it more epic for me xD

Este es un dibujo que hice de mis personajes Derek y Archibald, quienes están caracterizados como Koji Kabuto y Duke Fleed (Personajes de las sagas de mangas y animación japonesa "Mazinger Z" y "UFO Robot Grendizer", más que de la actual serie de "Grendizer U").
En dónde tras la derrota de Mazinger Z a manos del imperio Vega, este es reconstruido a una nueva versión llamada "Mazinger X", del cual es mucho más poderoso y fuerte que su modelo antecesor. Por otra parte, Grendizer pierde el control de si mismo debido a que su piloto empieza a sufrir una fuerte crisis emocional por sus deseos de venganza, por lo cual, Mazinger X le hace frente para detenerlo y evitar que destruya la tierra, planeta del cual juró proteger.
En la verdad, quedé muy sorprendido por está nueva serie inspirada en los robots icónicos del sensei Go Nagai. Me gustó mucho como extendieron la historia de Duke Fleed y que le dieran un trasfondo más humano, en cuanto al guardian de Fleed, Grendizer, este se ve bastante imponente y poderoso, por otro lado, Mazinger Z fue una adicción muy ingeniosa como compañero de batalla para Grendizer (Además de que su nuevo aspecto de Mazinger X le da un toque más Badass al clásico mecha de toda vida). Sin duda, Grendizer U es una gran serie que reinventa a personajes clásicos a un formato moderno evocando a la nostalgia.
Tenía ganas de volver a dibujar a mi robot favorito de la infancia, y está serie fue el combustible necesario para realizar este dibujo, y viendo que mis personajes como los protagonistas lo hace más épico para mí xD
