Rose knew exactly what was going on. By night she would be at home with her herd. Yes, HER herd, because she was the leading mare. Usually we would take a big lunch break and two smaller breaks. Not this time. Rose was in a fast forward mode. She accepted the lunch break (reluctantly). But she just wouldn’t stop to take a small snack.

And before we knew it we were on the last Kilometer to the place we started a week before.
