Autobots appearing in both versions of the story are Smokescreen, Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Red Alert, Vector Prime, Scavenger, Hot Shot, and Blurr. Appearing in only the re-edit are King Atlas, Checkpoint, and Quickstrike.

Decepticons appearing in both versions of the story are Starscream, Bludgeon, Thrust, Megatron and Cyclonus. Thundercracker, Mudflap, Skywarp and Demolishor are mentioned, but don't appear.
