During Malachi's stay at the Hotel (and bonding with his new friends that have pulled him out of his dark depression and self loathing), he finally puts his past to rest and takes up his sword, (an angel steel bladed one) after years of fearing that if he did he would become the 'monster' he once was. But instead he takes it up in defense against Adam and his Exorcists. Granted...due to his berserker style of fighting, he was a bloody pin-cushion by the end of the battle and because of that, Charlie dictated he was to stay in bed until he was fully healed. Each member of the Gang took their turn helping him heal (Alastor reluctantly and Nifty with supervision). Here we have Angel Dust coming to care for him at about near the tail-end of Mal's recovery. Angel, being one of Mal's closer friends, couldn't help but tease Malachi while helping him heal. Malachi, has to lay there and deal with the antics.
