in a completely literatural meaning it's correct, but finding an appropriate sentence for that in english is almost impossible.
Let's say crows used to be called in many different ways for what other folks took them as they loot for dinner which I'm bitter about. gypsies(and I mean the uncivilized and political abuser ones) took them as their hens to slay, thus we could call it in 'gypsy-hen'

but the rest of the sentence would fit as "MY ASS!"

I was just trying to get a literal translation, from which I could guess at the conceptual meaning. "Gypsy chicken" seems to me like it'd be a pretty big insult to a crow!
The return insult is interesting, culturally.

also as an interesting fact one of our neighbour's elder shot gypsies down as he found them stealing pear and the guard's lastname was related to a meaning of crow, so in my village anyone called like that, gypsies hate them and even nowadays they cry-lobby how evil hungarians are with them, while they're still stealing and threatening us at the background.
