Fellow Helldivers! Celebrate Managed Democracy and Super Earth for this year's Liberty Day!

Now that I've decided to come back to Helldivers 2, and seeing as how I discovered the flag of Super Earth at Furry Weekend Atlanta 2024, I figured 'Why the hell not?' I did the democratic thing and got a flag of Super Earth delivered overnight, right in time for Liberty Day!

This year's Liberty Day awarded all Helldivers the classic M-2124 Constitution Rifle and DP-00 Tactical Armor and Helmet from Helldivers 1. This armor and weapon have been described as equipment used during the First Galactic War, and are given to all children of when they turn 16.

In the game, the weapon is very powerful, usually dropping targets in one or two shots, and that lengthy bayonet makes for a good charging weapon! But the 'magazine' is a 5-round system and has to be recharged between shots (i.e., a bolt-action). But with a disciplined squad, you can spread democracy efficiently if you time your fire!

While the original "Starship Troopers" novel was published October 29, 1959, Arrowhead Studios former CEO, Johan Pilestedt, has his birthday on October 26. Any connection?
