Carol Hart has a pretty weird life when you get right down to it. Her girlfriend, Viola Vachon, is a disembodied brain, and a while ago Carol had her own brain removed, partly so that she'd have something in common with Viola, and partly so that she could carry the former mouse in her head. Of course this technically means there's two of Carol, since her brain still has a copy of her mind in it. Or, would it be more accurate to say that she still has a copy of her -brain's- mind in her empty skull? She and her brain are still working that out.
Either way, she's enjoying the holidays with the two of them, and figured it'd be cute to hang some mistletoe on her forehead for her brains' benefit.

Viola Vachon, the larger brain, used to be a mouse, but a while ago she permanently ditched her body and had her brain surgically removed from it. She used to be a bit withdrawn but since being reduced to just a brain, she's become much more adventurous and outgoing.
Carol Hart, the cat and also the smaller brain, was one of her best friends and helped Viola out while she was still getting used to being bodiless. A few years ago, she had her own brain removed, but instead of ditching her body, she had herself modified to not need a brain, as a gift to Viola. Now Viola can ride around in her head, and can snuggle with her brain!
Carol had had a crush on Viola for a while but never expressed that until she removed her brain for Viola's birthday. Now they're dating!
