(Since it's Christmas it seemed fitting to post this, as it is the equivalent Lipane holiday)

When the ancient dragon Eidonasz first gifted magic to the Lipane they lacked control over this new power so eventually accidents started to happen, and it was then that Eisonasz revealed herself to the Lipane as the one who bestowed them this power. Though magic had proved too powerful to wield for mortals like the Lipane Eidonasz did not want to take away this power from them since they had come to depend on it for their survival so she gifted part of her essence in the form of a focus stone forged from her own blood and a piece of her soul, and through using this focus stone the Lipane gained the same control over magic as the dragons did. But just as the Mana root had given them magic the use of this first focus stone would infuse the Lipane with a tiny portion of Eidonasz' essence and so the Lipane gained their horns. This act also saved Eidonasz after she was betrayed and killed by the other dragons as her soul was now linked to the first focus stone and the Lipane and she became the first elemental to keep watch over a Lipane city, Ahk'Tanyun, though eventually the focus stone would be moved to the new Lipane capitol, Ahk'Arnehb.

The Lipane celebrate those events every summer as that is when Eidonasz first gave the Lipane the gift of magic and later gifted them the control to be able to use it safely. The festivities last for twelve days and start a week after second harvest and during this time all Lipane dress in blue and decorate themselves and much of the city with focus stones and mana crystals and priests will hand out amulets and charms with blessings cast on them. It is also customary to give gifts to friends and family or even non Lipane, and these gifts are typically enchanted as a personal touch. Also of note during the festivities is that the separation of the castes is lifted so even the lower class citizens can dine next to even the queen and king and talk freely as equals. Some Lipane may choose to get married during that time so it is not uncommon to see a number of wedding ceremonies beign performed every day all across the city. Lipane wedding ceremonies include some elements of the day of giving as the female gifts some of her magic to her chosen male just as Eidonasz shared her power with her chosen mortals, the Lipane, long ago. This is one of the few ways that lower caste Lipane can move up a little, and particularly the males, by marrying into a higher caste family, provided ofcourse they have a high enough skill in magic to be noticed and chosen by the female.
