This artwork takes place in one of my favorite places in a game I really enjoyed a lot when I was younger. It's in the sandy tombs in Act 2 of Diablo II. I drew my main character, Kiearra, standing in as the protagonist and primary player avatar rather than one of the regular characters you'd play in Diablo II.
Are there any Diablo fans viewing this art? I'm hoping what I drew is recognizable from the game.

Oh I did too! I remember staying up all night until the sun rose every night during Summer Vacation with my brother, playing Diablo II until my dad woke up for work in the morning. I have so many fond memories of this game. I've been wanting to make a piece dedicated to it for a while, and I'm glad my work here was memorable. I always loved the aesthetic of the Act II tombs. They were probably my favorite looking zones in the game.
Oh Diablo how low the franchise fell
But 1 and 2 always will be in my memory and heart
Always appreciated it for a cool combat loop and dark atmosphere
Something about smashing swarms of monsters singlehandedly was very badass and truly a great experience
And I definitely like his careful and cool you integrated such massive and strong beasts in the confines of dungeon
Looks interesting and insanely well done

Oh yeah absolutely. 2 was definitely the peak for me. I dabbled in 3 and never played 4, but 2 consumed many Summer vacations of mine as a kid. I'm really glad you like my work and take on this place in the game! I don't think these undead skeletons stand much of a chance against a dragon.
Rawrs back!
I actually thought about drawing them. I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't think they did that in the Normal game difficulty mode until later on when you see them again in Baal's Worldstone Keep, but I may be mistaken. I decided to leave them out as I felt they may confuse the viewer more than add to the image, especially if one wasn't familiar with this particular mob type from Diablo II.
I loved it too. Probably one of my very favorite childhood games.

Ancient scalie here, I knew instantly this was act 2 in Diablo 2. Going to be honest, I never liked act 2 and the crazy part is that I actually liked act 3 the most. Seemed to hear that maybe most people didn't like act 3 the most but somehow I found it to be one of my preferred acts that and act 1.
Heh, funny part is that I'm currently playing a mod of Diablo 1.

Oh? Which mod? My brother plays I think Path of Diablo or something like that. Not the one made by greendude but another version from someone who broke off from his team.
He asked me to play with him, but he likes to play hardcore and I died pretty early on. I couldn't be bothered after that.
I used to hate act 3, but I bet it'd grow on me now as I do like the jungle theme of the region. I always liked act 2 the most, as I like the bright, warm aesthetics of the act and always remember finding Sander's Boots.
I'm glad it was recognizeable!

As mentioned, its a Diablo 1 mod. The bezlebub mod found here: https://mod.diablo.noktis.pl/download It can be kind of confusing but the bezlebub mod is the single player mod where the chernabog mod designed as a multiplayer mod. The bezlebub mod is uhhhhh its good but it has a few flaws. So if you plan on trying it out, its good at the start but in later difficulties certain monster affixes are problematic that and the introduction of cold into the game when cold never existed is also problematic. Essentually anything that involves player movement is problematic in a game where everything was designed to go sloooooooooooooooow.
