After the defeat of Azya and the demons Eidon's seas would become a lot safer and open up a new age of exploration, leading to a number of new civilizations and races being discoverd such as the demihuman Anshé. However the Anshé were just the first demihumans to be discovered and oficially recorded, many other races were kept under Azya's thumb only to be discovered after adventurers brought back ducuments and maps from the fortress archives. One of these people were the Cynocephi, referred to by Azya as the doghead humans. Similar to the Anshé the Cynocephi have little fur and closely resemble humans aside from their canine heads for which they were nicknamed by Azya. They had been oppressed by Azya's forces for decades and had many of their secred relics and artifacts stolen, which made them extremely distrustfull of explorers once they arrived on their shores after Azya's defeat. Though once researchers returned some of their stolen artifacts the Cynocephi became a little more accepting of the newcomers allowing a small number of them to explore their lands under guard. Over time adventurers would improve relationships with the Cynocephi enough to allow some trade routes to be opened with some of the other nations on Eidon and the Anshé in particular would be popular visitors being demihumans as well.

The Cynocephi are a fiercely loyal people once befriended and just as fierce an opponent for their enemies, unfortunately they could do little against Azya's rule despite their initial resistence. They are ruled by a monarchy and a council which is chosen by the people, a political system quite close to that of the human Kingdom of Whitesone as councilors of different regions take seat at the capitol to represent their respective people. Not much is know yet about their history but aparently they were once at war with the P'mahr untill they suddenly stopped attacking and weren seen or heard of since, not that the Cynocephi cared about the sudden end of the hostilities or finding out whatever became of their ancient enemy. Their culture appears to be based around sun worship and their deity, Sohl, seems to share similarities to the sun god Neme except that Sohl does not have a physical form like Neme and has not been seen on Eidon since their ancient history. but the Cynocephi were shocked to discover that the salamanders appear to possess the power of Sohl when a few of them visited the new lands, and since then they have been regarded as demigods by the Cynocephi and are invited to lodge at the temple wherever they visit. Let's hope this does not cause trouble in the future if the salamanders are foound out to not have any ties at all to their sun god...
